theBABrain is an open-source project built and run by Agnieszka Balcerzak. This page explains what personal information is collected through thebabrain.ai and its event pages, why, and what choices you have. It's written to match what the site actually does, not a generic template.
Who's responsible for your data
Agnieszka Balcerzak (business analysis trainer, mentor, and consultant), operating theBABrain as an individual, is the data controller for information collected through this site. Contact: hello@thebabrain.ai.
What information is collected, and why
| Where | What's collected | What it's used for | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|---|
| Homepage waitlist form | Email address | Sending updates about theBABrain's progress and release | Brevo (email marketing platform) |
| Event registration (e.g. "Meet theBABrain") | Name and email address | Sending a calendar invite and event reminders, and adding you to the mailing list above so you hear about what happens next. You can unsubscribe from that list at any time, separately from the event itself | A Google Sheet, Google Calendar, and Brevo |
| Direct email (the "Contact" link) | Whatever you choose to include in your message | Replying to you | Standard email hosting, not this website |
What theBABrain does not do
- No cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts run on this site today. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
- Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
- Sign-up forms only ever ask for a name and/or an email address, nothing more.
Legal basis for processing
Everything above is processed on the basis of your consent: you actively submit a form to join the waitlist or register for an event. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Who else handles your data
A few external services are used to run theBABrain, each acting as a data processor:
- Brevo (email marketing) — stores waitlist and, where applicable, event-registrant email addresses to send updates and newsletters.
- Google (Sheets, Calendar) — stores event registration details and sends calendar invites and reminder emails for the specific event you registered for.
- Vercel (website hosting) — serves this site and passes waitlist submissions straight through to Brevo; it does not itself store your personal data.
How long your data is kept
Waitlist and newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Event registration details are kept for as long as reasonably needed to run that event and follow up afterwards, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can ask to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Correct it if it's inaccurate
- Delete it
- Restrict or object to its processing
- Receive a copy in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, e.g. by unsubscribing from any email
To exercise any of these, email hello@thebabrain.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with Poland's data protection authority, UODO (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
Children
theBABrain is intended for working professionals and isn't directed at children. It doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what theBABrain collects or how it's used changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised accordingly.
